1. TRIP DESTINATIONS: Gangrel Dam, Rudri Dam, Madamsilli Dam.
2. The Gangrel Dam is the largest and longest dam in the Chhattisgarh state of India. This place was used to being a tourist attraction in the past.
3. After some people committed suicide here, it was closed, and now it is slowly dying. There is a mini-park, a hotel, a mini-beach, and boating are still available, but due to the small number of tourists, it is very hard to maintain them.
4. It rained for 3 days continuously in Chhattisharh and the water level of Gangrel dam was raised. I thought it would be a good time to visit Gangrel Dam, but I was late and the water was released before my arrival. It becomes a total waste of time. As you can see in the video, without maintenance, the place is all waste. I was not interested in boating, so I set off to the next location.
5. The Rudri Dam is one of the oldest dam in Chhattishgarh, built in 1915. There is a ramp built on the side of the dam, where you can climb and watch the sunset. Its a good place.
6. The third dam on my list is the Madamsilli dam, also known as the Murumsilli dam. This is a place worth visiting and spending time. As not a lot of people know about it, it always stays empty. That also makes it extremely peaceful and silent.
7. It is about 22km away from Rudri dam. It looks like it is just a visitable place and not actually a tourist attraction, as there are no parks or hotels nearby. But it is the best place.
8. On one side, water and plush greenery on the other make it very beautiful. The green farms are a visual treat. Even at midday, with the sun shining, the water keeps the temperature down and it doesn't feel hot. I was easily able to spend 1 hour there. Sunset was quite beautiful.
9. Murumsilli dam is a syphon spillway dam. The road over the dam is at least 2 km long, and the doors on both sides are locked. That means one has to travel by foot to get all the way to the dam.
10. Of all the places, you can visit in Chhattisgarh, definitely visit Madamsilli dam. It doesn't take much time, and it is very beautiful and empty.
